The aim of this course is to provide ākonga with the ability to evaluate and respond to ideas as well as account for and sustain a point of view in advanced intermediate level Reo for familiar and some unfamiliar iwi contexts

The learning outcomes for this course are:

1. Arotake i ngā hononga ki te taiao hei ngā horopaki ā-iwi kua mōhiotia, hei ngā horopaki ā-iwi tauhou rānei. Evaluate connections to the land and the environment presented in advanced intermediate spoken Reo, on familiar or sometimes unfamiliar topics, for iwi contexts

Whakawhiti huatau hei ngā horopaki ā-iwi e pā ana ki tētahi aronga e mana ai. Participate in spoken exchanges of ideas in advanced intermediate Reo, accounting for and sustaining a point of view, for iwi contexts

Arotake huatau mai i ngā tuhinga e pā ana ki ngā horopaki ā-iwi kua mōhiotia, hei ngā horopaki ā-iwi tauhou rānei. Evaluate ideas written in advanced intermediate Reo, from pieces concerned with contemporary issues, on familiar and sometimes unfamiliar topics, for iwi contexts

Tuhituhi hei tuitui huatau mai i ngā puna kōrero maha hei hāpai ake, hei turaki rānei i tētahi aronga hei ngā horopaki ā-iwi. Write texts, which synthesise ideas from several sources and provide rational support for or against a particular viewpoint, using advanced intermediate Reo for iwi contexts
