$1000 payment to help individuals holding an Indian passport who are high academic achievers to succeed.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must:
- Be an International fee paying student and hold an Indian passport
- Have completed and passed one academic year of a 2 or more year programme at Ara
- Have an inspirational approach, demonstrate strong leadership skills or be a high academic achiever
This scholarship is available for students entering into their 2nd or 3rd year of study at Ara and does not cover course-related costs.

How to Apply
- Please submit an application form (click on the application form button below).
- Provide a personal statement to reflect the special circumstances that make you a candidate for this scholarship. Describe why you deserve the scholarship, what challenges the scholarship would help you overcome and how New Zealand will benefit from your studies. Explain how you plan to contribute to the local Indian Community in the future.
- Provide two referee reports, which comment on your ability to succeed in this programme and attest to your character. One referee report must be from an Ara tutor. (Please use the templates provided below.)
- Provide your academic transcript to date, these can be obtained from academic.records@ara.ac.nz
